Men Junior Time Trial

Men Junior Time Trial

For the Men Junior Time Trial, anything is possible as the riders separate themselves by mere seconds gained across the city circuit.

Starting at the beach and heading west toward the escarpment, the athletes will then deviate south, cutting through parts of Gwynneville before taking on a section of Mount Ousley Road.

Returning back to the coast via Cabbage Tree Lane, the final push along Squires Way will be fast and furious.

Format of events

Road Race: The event is a single ‘mass start’ road race, the winner being the first across the line at the completion of the full race distance. This is usually conducted as a circuit race of approximately 15 -25km which may start from another point before entering the circuit

Individual time trial (ITT): An event in which cyclists race alone against the clock on flat or rolling terrain, or up a mountain road. Cyclists start the race at different times so that each start is fair and equal

Team time trial mixed relay (TTT): A road-based bicycle race in which teams of cyclists race against the clock. Cyclists start the race at different times so that each start is fair and equal
